Europe has 5% of the world's AI computing power

Sixty European experts, including Nobel economist Philippe Aghion and former competition commissioner Margrethe Vestager, published a 200 page strategy on Monday warning the continent is losing control of AI. Europe runs about 5% of the world's AI computing capacity against America's 75%. They want €100bn of public money to treble that by 2030, and an alliance built around ASML's grip on chipmaking machines.
