£700m fund to help unlock 10 UK sites for factories and jobs

The Strategic Sites Accelerator is designed to attract as much as £2 billion in private investment, a sum the government believes has the potential to create tens of thousands of jobs in the long term. Mayors and local leaders will help ministers pick up to 10 industrial and commercial sites, with Glasgow, Burgess Hill and Sheffield already being discussed.
