EU cyberattack warning system non-operational after 2 years.
Auditors determined that the EU's early-warning system, designed to detect major cyberattacks, remained non-operational nearly two years after its construction. They also said nobody checks if EU cybersecurity funding reaches organisations exposed to hostile states. Poor information-sharing was identified as the "Achilles heel" of the bloc's cyber defences, with no large-scale incidents reported since 2016.
