EU approves US trade deal implementation

EU leaders agreed after five hours of talks to put into effect a trade deal struck last July at Turnberry, removing import duties on most US goods entering the EU. MEPs had twice halted approval earlier and added a clause allowing tariffs to return if the US fails to cut steel derivative tariffs by end of year.
