Essex schools close early due to heatwave

Schools in Essex face more disruption on Friday as the continuing heatwave forces further closures. At least 13 schools had already closed early or fully shut on Thursday, with temperatures expected to hit 38C. The National Education Union wants better air conditioning in schools, while the Education Secretary encourages them to stay open.
