England's World Cup dream ends in a semi-final heartbreaker

England's run at the World Cup has ended at the semi-final stage after a narrow defeat to Argentina in Atlanta, 2-1. Anthony Gordon had given the Three Lions the lead before Argentina hit back, in a tight contest that England can feel proud of after reaching their first semi-final since 2018. Thomas Tuchel's young side leave the tournament with plenty of promise for the future.
