England's £10bn plan for a single patient record
Patients in England will no longer need to repeatedly share their medical history during hospital or GP appointments. New legislation, part of a £10bn digitisation for the health service, will mandate GPs and hospitals to share data for a single patient record. Health secretary Wes Streeting stated this "gamechanger" will allow NHS staff to deliver better care and save lives.
