Pubs can open later than usual for England's World Cup last-16 match against Mexico on Monday, July 6, which kicks off at 1am. The Home Office had previously permitted longer operating times, specifically until 1am, or 2am when matches started later, throughout the tournament. Landlords need to ask their local council for special permission to stay open, potentially until 3.30am.
