England Lyme Cases Rise As Vaccine Work Continues
More people in England are catching Lyme disease as tick numbers spread across wider parts of the country. UKHSA said 1,168 confirmed cases were recorded in 2025, compared with 959 the year before, while drug companies continue developing vaccines and treatments for the illness. Two likely cases of tick-borne encephalitis were also identified last year.
