England beat France 6-4 in a 10-goal World Cup third-place thriller

England led 4-0 at half-time, saw France fight all the way back to 4-3, then scored twice in stoppage time to win it in Miami on Saturday. It's their best World Cup finish since they won the whole thing in 1966, ending a run that included a late 2-1 semi-final loss to Argentina. The match capped Didier Deschamps' final game in charge of France.
