Eight dead, 22 missing after ferry capsizes off northern Cyprus
A ferry carrying nearly 270 people capsized on Sunday off northern Cyprus, with 237 rescued and search efforts continuing for the missing. The catamaran-style vessel, travelling from Kyrenia to Taşucu, began taking on water about 7.5km off the coast. The ferry's captain and seven crew members have been detained as part of an investigation into the incident.
