Edinburgh Zoo's red panda Bruce has tooth removed
An endangered red panda named Bruce, aged eleven, underwent the extraction of a troublesome tooth during a routine examination. Veterinary staff from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland carried out the procedure and a comprehensive physical assessment under general anaesthetic. Bruce, who joined the zoo in 2016, has since returned to his enclosure, having been declared to be in good health.
