Ed Sheeran helps launch £12.5 million music studios in libraries scheme

Public libraries throughout England are set to transform into music lending spaces, providing complimentary studio access and performance opportunities to enhance the UK's music industry. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy secured at least £12.5 million for the "Music in Libraries" initiative, co-designed by Ed Sheeran, to fund recording equipment. The government also hopes to relax licensing rules for events and give £15 million more to the Music Growth Package.
