East Sussex Council Challenges Reorganisation Plans

Wikimedia Commons

East Sussex County Council has issued a legal letter challenging plans to reorganise local government in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove. Council leader Andy Woolley of Reform UK said the letter was sent on Friday. The proposals paused by Angela Rayner in September would shift Peacehaven Telscombe and East Saltdean into an expanded Brighton and Hove unitary. Woolley said about twenty six thousand residents would leave East Sussex. Ministers said next steps will come later on.
