Drunk raccoon helps raise money for animal shelter
A raccoon that broke into an Ashland, Virginia liquor store over Thanksgiving weekend and passed out drunk in the bathroom has become an internet sensation, spawning a merchandise campaign that has raised over $250,000 for Hanover County Animal Protection Shelter. The 'Trashed Panda' merchandise featuring the sprawled-out raccoon has sold over 15,000 items in just days. Officials later revealed the repeat offender had previously broken into a martial arts studio and DMV office.
