DoorDash to pay $131.5m for underpaying 264,000 New York workers
The food delivery company acknowledged it "screwed up" in not compensating thousands of its employees accurately or promptly. DoorDash's settlement with New York City regulators resolves an investigation into wage violations, including how the company calculates pay for time drivers spend waiting for orders. Around 264,000 workers were affected, with about $6.6m in wages never reaching them.
