Do Not Travel’ Alert as Major Rail Disruption Hits Southern, Thameslink & Gatwick Express

Passengers on Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services in south London were urged not to travel this morning due to significant disruption. Multiple incidents – including a train derailment at Selhurst depot and a signalling fault between Norwood Junction and London Blackfriars – have caused cancellations, severe delays of up to 60 minutes and revised services. National Rail warns disruption is likely until early afternoon, advising travellers to check before setting out and allow extra journey time.
