Derbyshire Police have paid £9,000 in damages to a Derby couple after admitting officers unlawfully forced their way into their Alvaston home and used force on them in December 2022. Andrew and Sabrina Fearn were charged with assaulting an emergency worker, but were cleared mid-trial when police conceded the entry was unlawful. The force apologised for the distress caused, but no officers faced disciplinary action.
