Denby pottery company risks 500 jobs at Derby.
Up to 500 jobs are at risk as a 200-year-old pottery business faces potential collapse after failing to secure vital investment. Denby, which began manufacturing in Derby in 1809, announced on Wednesday that it filed a notice to appoint administrators. Its post-tax losses widened significantly to £5.56 million by December 2024, despite cost-cutting measures.
