The UK's new defence secretary has secured an extra £1.5 billion for the country's defence spending plan, with most of it going towards drones. This cash boost helps close a large funding gap that caused the previous defence secretary to resign. The funding allows for a total £5 billion spend on drones over the next four years, aimed at deterring Russia and Iran.
