David Hockney Dies Aged 88 Leaving Art Legacy

People worldwide lose a major modern art voice. British artist David Hockney has died at the age of 88, according to a statement from his publicist Erica Bolton. He became widely known for colourful depictions of California swimming pools and worked across painting, photography, and digital media over decades. He died on Thursday at home, one month short of his 89th birthday.
