Crypto fraudsters jailed for £4 million fake police scam

Three men who impersonated police officers to steal over £4 million in cryptocurrency were sentenced to a combined 28 years and nine months in jail on Thursday. Kevin Nwamma, Anthony Ikenwe, and Hamza Bashir tricked eight victims into transferring funds to fake police accounts. The gang used the stolen money for luxury holidays and designer goods, with about £1 million of the funds later recovered.
