Coventry Airport ends flights for green tech site

Commercial flights at Coventry Airport have stopped for good this week, ending a long history. The site, which opened as Baginton Aerodrome in 1936, is making way for a new advanced manufacturing facility called Greenpower Park. Over the years it hosted famous figures like Pope John Paul II (May 1982) and King Charles III (September 1983, as Prince of Wales).
