Couples could soon marry anywhere under new UK rules
New government proposals in England and Wales could let couples marry in many unconventional spots, including forests, beaches, or even on cruise ships. The changes aim to cut wedding costs, which average over £20,000, and remove the need for multiple ceremonies for interfaith couples. The consultation, running until September 24, could also boost the UK economy by an estimated £139 million annually.
