Cod and chips now costs £11.41 on average
The average price for a portion of cod and chips across the UK has reached £11.41, with haddock and chips costing about £10.29. This rise is due to increasing costs for fish, potatoes, oil, and energy, putting pressure on the about 7,210 fish and chip shops operating nationwide. Many shops are now changing their menus or cutting options to stay efficient, according to a new report from industry body Seafish.
