China smartphone sales fall again, but Huawei and Apple grow
China's smartphone market saw its fifth straight quarterly decline in Q2 2026, with shipments down 4.3% to about 66 million units. Most Android phone makers raised prices due to higher component costs, which made people less likely to upgrade their phones. However, Huawei and Apple both grew by around 20% and 25% respectively, as they kept their prices steady and offered promotions.
