China mandates self-driving car deactivation override from July 2027
New rules from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will require self-driving vehicles to have a mandatory deactivation override. These standards, effective from July 1, 2027, aim to ensure autonomous systems match human driver safety and prevent misuse.
