Charing Cross and Waterloo East stations to close for 22 days
Two major London train stations, Charing Cross and Waterloo East, will close for 22 days this summer for a £20 million upgrade. The closure runs from Sunday 26 July to Sunday 16 August 2026, with additional weekend closures before and after. Southeastern services that usually go to Charing Cross will be diverted to other London stations like Victoria, Cannon Street, Blackfriars, or London Bridge.
