Cash Isa limit to stay at £20,000, Healey reportedly plans

Cash Isa limit to stay at £20,000, Healey reportedly plans

Graphic: BriefTea

Rachel Reeves, the former chancellor, announced last year that the yearly cash Isa limit would drop from £20,000 to £12,000 for savers under 65 from April 2027. Chancellor John Healey now plans to scrap that cut in his first Budget, the Financial Times reports. Banks and building societies are expected to welcome the U-turn, as savers' deposits help fund their lending.
