California leads states suing to block Paramount Warner Bros merger
A dozen US states, led by California, have filed a lawsuit to stop the $110 billion merger of Warner Bros and Paramount, claiming it would harm competition and raise consumer prices. California Attorney General Rob Bonta said the deal would lead to "higher prices, lower quality, and less content for film and television". Paramount called the lawsuit "fundamentally flawed" and said it would "vigorously defend the transaction".
