Burnham to take "pragmatic approach" on North Sea oil

Andy Burnham, the incoming prime minister, intends to uphold Labour's 2024 commitment to refrain from issuing any additional oil and gas licences, though current ones will be respected. Lucy Powell, Labour's deputy leader, said on Sunday that Burnham will take a "pragmatic approach" to North Sea oil and gas.
