Burnham to change pension triple lock in 2030 to fund free care
Andy Burnham told Labour's conference he will change the pension triple lock from April 2030, after keeping it unchanged until the next election as promised. The state pension will still rise every year by at least prices or 2.5%, and he said it would keep pace with earnings over time. He said the change would generate significant savings to build up his National Care Service.
