Shares in dating app Bumble soared by almost 50% on Monday after a Wall Street Journal report that Ithaca is in advanced talks to buy the Texas firm for around $1bn (£757m). The jump lifted Bumble's valuation above $580m, still far below its peak of more than $14bn after the 2021 Nasdaq listing. Bumble was founded in 2014 by Whitney Wolfe Herd, a Tinder co-founder.
