Dating app Bumble has agreed to be bought by Ithaca Holdings in a $1.3bn deal that will take the company private. Bumble floated in 2021 at around $14bn but has since lost paying users and revenue, with second-quarter sales down 15%. An independent board committee recommended the deal. Founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, who did not vote on it, will stay closely involved in the business.
