Brussels says no to UK goods trade plan

British products won't circulate freely in Europe without checks or tariffs, as the EU rejected a recent trade proposal. UK officials, led by Michael Ellam, proposed creating a goods-only single market to reset post-Brexit trade relations. The EU cited conflicts with red lines like freedom of movement and concerns over special treatment for Britain.
