British pub chain Marston’s says stronger trading will speed up profit plans

Better trading at its sports-focused pubs and other improvements have increased customer numbers and lifted profits, the pub group said. Marston’s said on Tuesday it now expects to meet its medium-term core profit margin target ahead of schedule. The update adds to confidence that its strategy is improving how its pubs perform.
