British pound drops slightly against the dollar as Middle East tensions rise

A Thursday strike on southern Saudi Arabia that injured 11 people has made financial markets nervous. Currency traders are also waiting for Friday's US jobs data to help predict what America's central bank will do with interest rates. Meanwhile, the UK currency slipped 0.1% to sit at $1.3438, and dropped to 85.76 pence against the euro.
