British House Prices Hit New £301,151 Record
Halifax figures showed British house prices rose beyond predictions in February. Property costs gained 0.3% last month, with an annual rise of 1.3%, the biggest in four months. A Halifax manager noted affordability remains tight, but easier interest rates helped buyer confidence. Yet, rising oil costs from the Middle East conflict may affect inflation, leading to slower borrowing cost reductions.
