British Forces Can Board Russian Ships in UK Waters

Britain has authorised armed forces and law enforcement to board sanctioned Russian "shadow fleet" vessels passing through UK waters. The move aims to cut oil profits funding Russia's war in Ukraine, now in its fifth year. It follows the UK's support of a US operation in January that seized the Russian-linked tanker Marinera in the Atlantic.
