British Airways flight to Tokyo diverts to Azerbaijan after emergency

A British Airways flight en route to Tokyo landed unexpectedly in Azerbaijan today, having announced a mid-air emergency while flying over Central Asia. Flight BA5, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, transmitted a standard international signal for an in-flight emergency while flying over Kazakhstan.
