Britain's grid fires up gas plants

The UK's electricity grid has had to boost power generation as a heatwave puts strain on supply, sparking a power alert. Britain's grid operator ordered gas plants to fire up on Wednesday to meet the increased demand. Data from the UK's grid network showed gas generation jumped as a result.
