Britain plans law for closer EU ties

Trade rules and energy agreements with Europe could become easier to apply in Britain under planned legislation. King Charles said on Wednesday that the government will bring in the European Partnership Bill, while Prime Minister Keir Starmer pushes closer economic links with the European Union after Labour lost support in local elections. Britain still won’t rejoin the single market, customs union or free movement arrangements.
