Britain Buys 72 New Army Howitzers

More than 500 jobs will be supported as Britain replaces artillery systems previously sent to Ukraine. The government said on Wednesday it will spend £1 billion on 72 remote-controlled RCH 155 guns for the British Army, with the first vehicles due in 2028. Germany-based ARTEC GmbH won the contract, while parts will be built at factories in central and northern England.
