Bristol scientists find first possible hint of invisible dark matter
Scientists from Bristol University, part of a two-year study, may have detected the invisible substance that makes up over 85% of the universe. They used a sensitive detector in an underground US lab to observe an atom colliding with a mystery particle. The finding, revealed at a Japan conference on Tuesday, has a 2.6 sigma rating, below the normal five threshold for discoveries.
