Brick Lane data centre plan faces housing crisis challenge
East London campaigners are opposing plans for a large data centre in Brick Lane, arguing it will worsen the area's housing crisis. The housing secretary intervened after Tower Hamlets Council turned down plans for the 5,200 sq metre centre. A government spokesperson stated that a definitive ruling would be issued by 17 August at the latest.
