Brexit: EU migration falls, non-EU migration rises

A decade after the Brexit vote, net migration from the EU has become negative, with more EU nationals leaving than arriving in the UK. Meanwhile, non-EU migration has surged, peaking at over one million in 2023, changing the overall pattern of arrivals. The UK economy has lagged behind the US and Canada since the early 2020s, and goods exports to the EU have fallen.
