BrewDog closes 38 bars and cuts hundreds of jobs

The Scottish craft beer giant BrewDog has entered administration and been immediately acquired by American company Tilray Brands. While the deal secures the future of the main brewery in Aberdeenshire and saves 11 flagship venues, the restructuring comes at a heavy cost. Administrators AlixPartners confirmed that 38 bars across the UK have closed immediately, resulting in 484 redundancies. Additionally, investors in the Equity for Punks scheme have been told they will receive no return on their shares.
