Brentford beat Birmingham City 6-1 with Wilson scoring on debut
Brentford showed their Premier League class by thrashing Championship side Birmingham City 6-1, with new signing Callum Wilson scoring after just six minutes. Captain Nathan Collins also scored two headers for the Bees, who had three other new players get on the scoresheet. Birmingham's manager Chris Davies apologised to fans, admitting his team was "not good enough to compete" with the top-flight squad.
