Brent Crude Reaches $108, Europe Faces Energy Shock
Europe's economy faces a significant energy shock due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. From February 28th, the conflict's outset, wholesale oil and gas prices have surged significantly, resulting in elevated fuel costs for consumers throughout Europe, including residents of the United Kingdom. In consequence, Brent crude, the worldwide standard, observed its per-barrel price rise from $73 to about $108.
