TV producer Jack Bayles has been told to step back from Various Artists Limited after jurors heard he laughed while Russell Brand sexually assaulted a Channel Four staffer in two thousand nine. Bayles, the firm's comedy boss, will leave two BBC sitcoms while bosses review the trial evidence. He said he does not remember the incident but apologised for missing distress in a toxic workplace.
